NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the County Commissioners of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a public hearing on May 19, 2020 at 6 p.m. to consider a proposed Zoning Text Amendment regarding transitional and grandfathering provisions in the Watershed Conservation District (WCD) Zone.
The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call (301) 645-0570 for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.

Transitional and Grandfathering Provisions
The proposed amendment to the Charles County Zoning Ordinance would modify §297-98E(2)(d) and §297-98E(3)(d) to reduce the percentage of lots and associated infrastructure built from 25% to 10%, for a project to be exempt from the development constraints imposed by the WCD Zone.
The proposed Amendment will be posted prior to the public hearing on the County’s BoardDocs (public) website at http://www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public

Registration to speak will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. on May 19, 2020. If you are registered to speak, you will be called to speak during the meeting between 6:00- 9:00 p.m. on May 19, 2020. If you are not available to speak when you are called, we have the right to move onto the next caller.
Comments will be accepted May 19, 2020 starting at 8:00 a.m. through May 29, 2020, 5:00 p.m. by using the e-comment feature at https://www.charlescountymd.gov/ztaWSCD or calling 301-645-0652 to leave a message.
