The work of the Department of Planning and Growth Management (PGM) covers tremendous scope and provides immense value to the Charles County community.

PGM is divided into five divisions: Administrative Operations; Infrastructure Management; Codes, Permits, and Inspection Services; Planning; and Transit.

The Department is aided by the Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board; the Agricultural Reconciliation Committee; the Planning Commission; and the Board of Zoning Appeals.
