The Charles County Commissioners established the Citizens’ Response Office in January 2011. The purpose of the office is to streamline communications and respond in a timely and effective manner to telephone calls, emails, and letters from the citizens to the County Commissioners.

The Citizens' Response Office is responsible for effectively communicating county issues and resolving residents' concerns. More than 9,000 communications have been addressed by the Citizens’ Response Office since it was established in 2011. Each request is a challenge and carries with it the concerns of citizens who deserve no less than the full attention of their government.
