On November 1, the Oil and Antifreeze drop off at Gilbert Run Park will be relocated to the recycling center and accessible during normal operating hours of Monday, Wednesday, Saturday from 9am-5pm.

The Maryland Recycling Act (MRA) requires Charles County to recycle at least 35% of the waste generated in the County. Charles County has maintained one of the highest recycling rates in the state. The County's recycling rate for the year 2020 was 41.89%.

Businesses that recycle material generated in Charles County provide valuable contributions to this rate. Businesses that self-report their recycling amounts assist in maintaining our recycling rate.

If your business recycles, please select one of the following options to report those materials.

  • Fill out an editable PDF form and email it to RomeroM@CharlesCountyMD.gov
  • Print a completed form and mail to:
    Charles County Government
    Environmental Resources Division
    Attn: 2023 MRA
    1001 Radio Station Road
    La Plata, MD 20646
  • Visit the MDE website to complete their online form
