PUBLIC NOTICE

THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Milestone Tower Limited Partnership (Milestone Communications), in coordination with Verizon Wireless, requesting Special Exception use approval from the Board of Appeals for a Tower more than 50 feet tall, Use #4.06.300, as provided in Article XIII, §297-212, Article XXV, §297-415 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance.  The project site, designated as Tax Map 24, Grid 21, Parcel 157, consists of approximately 98.9510 acres and is in the Planned Unit Development (PUD) Zone. The address of the subject property is 5305 Piney Church Road in Waldorf, location of the St. Charles High School. 

The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 301-645-0632 for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged. 

The submittal documents for Docket #1420, filed on March 20, 2020 and Staff Report will be available for inspection on or after September 8, 2020 in the Planning Division, Planning and Growth Management Department, Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland or online at: http://www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public
