PUBLIC NOTICE 

ZTA #20-156, Agricultural-Related Uses 

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a Public Hearing on November 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to consider proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 297 of the Code of Charles County, Maryland.  

The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons wanting more information may call 301-645-0692. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged. 

ZTA #20-156 amends the following provisions to support agricultural-related uses in the County: (1) definitions; (2) uses and associated conditions; (3) table of permissible uses; (4) table of off-street parking requirements; (5) general yard requirements; (6) accessory uses and structures; and (7) temporary uses. 

Due to COVID19, and in lieu of public appearance: Citizens can watch via CCGTV on cable access channels, Comcast: 95 and Verizon FIOS: 10, view online at https://www.charlescountymd.gov/our-county/ccgtv-live-stream, or use a call-in number to listen to the Public Hearing at 301-645-0500. 

A call-in option is available to speak during the meeting. Each speaker is allotted three (3) minutes. If you are unavailable to speak when you are called, we have the right to move onto the next caller. Instructions for registering to speak during the Public Hearing and other comment submission options are available at https://www.CharlesCountyMD.gov/PCVirtualMeetingInfo.
