Amendment to the 2016 Charles County Comprehensive Plan
Maryland Airport
Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of Charles County, Maryland will conduct a Public Hearing on November 16, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to consider proposed amendments to the 2016 Charles County Comprehensive Plan. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons wanting more information may call 301-645-0692. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
The proposed amendment to the 2016 Charles County Comprehensive Plan would change the land use designation of certain properties surrounding the Maryland Airport to Employment and Industrial. The changes include revised text within Chapters 3, 7, 8, and 12 of the Comprehensive Plan to support the land use change and the anticipated subsequent rezoning, and a revised Land Use Map to designate these properties as Employment and Industrial.

A call-in option is available to speak during the meeting. Each speaker is allotted three (3) minutes. If a registered speaker is not available when called, the County has the right to move onto the next caller.
