The County Administrator wishes to remind residents of changes to operating schedules for the month of May:
Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day)
- All Charles County Government offices and the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Hughesville will be closed.
- Curbside recycling and yard waste collection will be delayed one day for the entire week, Tuesday, June 1 through Saturday, June 5.
- VanGO services will not be operating.
- The Nanjemoy Community Center, senior centers, Port Tobacco Recreation Center, Elite Gymnastics and Recreation Center, and all school-based community centers are closed.
- Waldorf Senior and Recreational Center will be closed.
- The Charles County Landfill and Recycling Center, Pisgah, Gilbert Run, and Breeze Farm Recycling Centers and the Piney Church Road Mulch Facility are closed.
- Lackey, and Donald M. Wade Aquatic Center will be open from noon – 6 p.m.
- The Crain Memorial Welcome Center is closed.
- Port Tobacco Village will remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
