PUBLIC NOTICE
THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Two Farms, Inc. (Royal Farms) requesting Special Exception use approval from the Board of Appeals for motor vehicle fuel sales associated with commercial uses greater than 3,500 square feet or which provide more than 12 fueling positions, Use #6.03.321, as provided in Article XIII, §297-212, Article XXV, §297-415 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The subject properties consist of approximately 5.862 acres, of which 3.71 acres are subject to the request, and are located at 5095 Indian Head Highway, 4150 Hawthorne Road, and 4025 Lower Wharf Road, Indian Head. The properties are further identified as Tax Map 11, Grid 18, Parcels 293, 294, and 342, and are located within the Community Commercial (CC) and Medium Density Suburban Residential (RM) Zones.
The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 301-645-0632 for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
The submittal documents for Docket #1434, filed on April 29, 2021 and Staff Report will be available for inspection on or after September 13, 2021 in the Planning Division, Planning and Growth Management Department, Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland or online at: www.charlescountymd.gov/government/boarddocs.
