Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) #21-164 Business Park (BP) Zone
The Charles County Commissioners will hold a Virtual Public Hearing on September 28, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., to consider a Zoning Text Amendment in accordance with Chapter 297-447 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance.
Zoning Text Amendment, ZTA #21-164 (Bill # 2021-08) proposes to define Flex Space and include it as a permissible land use in the Business Park (BP) Zoning District. The application would amend the following Articles of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance: Article III, Article IV, Article VI, Article XIII, Article XVIII, Article XIX, and Article XX.
The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or requests for more information regarding this hearing may call 301-645-0692. The hearing is open to the public and public testimony is encouraged.
To speak during the September 28, 2021,Public Hearing, residents must call 301-885-2779 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on September 28, 2021,to register. Once registered, residents will be called between 6:00 p.m. –9:00 p.m. on September 28, 2021,to testify. Each speaker will be allotted three (3) minutes. If a registered speaker is not available to speak when called, the County has the right to move onto the next caller.
Comments will be accepted September 10, 2021 starting at 8:00 a.m. through September 28, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. by using the e-comment feature at: https://www.charlescountymd.gov/government/public-comments/zta-21-164-business-park-zone/or by calling 301-645-0652 to leave a message. In addition, residents may submit comments by mail to the following address: Commissioners of Charles County, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, MD 20646. Comments sent by mail must be received no later than September 28, 2021.
