PUBLIC NOTICE
THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC d/b/a AT&T Mobility LLC requesting Special Exception use approval from the Board of Appeals for a Tower more than 50 feet tall, Use #4.06.300, as defined in § 297-212 of the Zoning Ordinance. The Applicant seeks to install a 130’ tall monopole cell tower / light pole replacement within a 30’ by 40’ fenced compound adjacent to the existing Thomas Stone High School athletic fields. Unmanned equipment shelters will be installed within the fenced compound at the base of the monopole. The address of the subject property is 3785 Leonardtown Rd., Waldorf and is zoned High Density Suburban Residential (RH).
The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 301-645-0632 for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
