Public Hearing: Last Chance Animal Rescue, Inc./ Docket 1276 Special Exception

PUBLIC NOTICE  

THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Last Chance Animal Rescue, Inc., requesting modification to a Special Exception previously approved under Docket #1276, in accordance with Chapter 297-415 K. of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The Applicant is requesting approval to include an adjacent property as an accessory non-commercial kennel facility associated with the existing Use #5.02.400 Veterinarians and Veterinary Hospitals. The subject property is located at 8500 Bensville Rd., Waldorf and is zoned Watershed Conservation District (WCD). The adjacent property being proposed for inclusion under Docket #1276 is designated as Tax Identification # 0906351670 and contains approximately 9.1310 acres.  

The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held remotely via video teleconference. Persons with questions or wanting more information regarding this hearing may call 301-638-2409. for further information. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.  

The submittal documents for Docket #1276, filed on May 28, 2021 and Staff Report will be available for inspection on or after April 8, 2022, in the Planning Division, Planning and Growth Management Department, Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland or online at: http://www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public. A call-in option is available to speak during the meeting. Each speaker will be allotted three (3) minutes.
