The purpose of the Police Accountability Board is to receive complaints of police misconduct involving a member of the public and a police officer. The Board holds meetings, not less than quarterly, with heads of law enforcement agencies and otherwise works with law enforcement agencies and the county government to improve matters of policing.
The initial meeting of the Police Accountability Board will be to review relevant state law and local resolutions informing the work of the Board, consider draft rules of procedure for the Board, and consider appointments to the Administrative Charging Committee (a portion of this item may be conducted in closed session pursuant to GP. 3-305(b)(1).
