PUBLIC NOTICE
THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Lorenzi, Dodds & Gunnill, Inc., on behalf of Sustainable Land Use, LLC, requesting a modification of Special Exception Docket No. 1005. More specifically to add a wash plant on-site for a Surface Mining of More Than 10 Acres, Use #7.05.110, as provided in Article XIII, §297-212, Article XXV, §297-415 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The 361.2-acre property is located in Charlotte Hall, MD, approximately 5 miles east of the intersection of Trinity Church Road and Maryland Route 6 and is designated on Parcel 4 (Tax ID #0908012113) Grid 8 and Parcel 7(Tax ID #0908026009) Grid 1, on Tax Map 58, in the Agricultural Conservation (AC) zone.
The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. This Public Hearing will be held as a “Hybrid meeting,” with limited in-person attendance. For those attending in person, the Public Hearing will be held in the Government Building Conference Room (“Blue Room”). Those wishing to join virtually may via video teleconference. To obtain more information may call 301-645-0692. The Public Hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.
The submittal documents for Docket #1005, filed on February 16, 2022 and Staff Report will be available for inspection on or after August 29, 2022 in the Planning Division, Planning and Growth Management Department, Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland or online at: https://www.charlescountymd.gov/government/boards-commissions/current-boards-commissions-meetings-after-july-1-2022

Public testimony may be given either in person or virtually. Each speaker will be allotted three (3) minutes.
