Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. has ordered the Charles County flag to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full staff at sunset on November 15, 2024 in honor of former Charitable Trust Executive Director, Vivian H. Mills.  

Ms. Vivian H. Mills, former Charitable Trust Executive Director,  was instrumental in the formation of the Charitable Trust in 2017 and remained dedicated to her role as Executive Director until her retirement in 2021. Her years of dedication to supporting nonprofits in a variety of roles in Southern Maryland and beyond have made a lasting impact on the nonprofit community and the people we strive to support every day. Vivian's passion for helping others was an inspiration to many. We at the Charitable Trust are honored to continue the important work Vivian began here for Charles County.
