The task of the Board of License Commissioners is to review and approve the issuance and renewal of liquor licenses in Charles County, and establish penalties for violations. This is a 5 member board appointed by the County Commissioners and authorized/empowered by Alcoholic Beverages Article, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, to regulate the sale of alcoholic beverages in Charles County. This board meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:00am in person at the Charles County Government Building.

Contact the County Attorney’s Office, 301-645-0555, at least 48 hours (working hours) prior to pick-up to schedule an appointment.

Interpreter

If an interpreter is needed for a case appearing before the Board, contact the Clerk at least 10 day (working days) prior to the hearing by contacting the Clerk at 301-645-0555; weschlem@charlescountymd.gov.  In your request, please include the language needed.
