The applicant/owner listed on the building permit may submit a Temporary Certificate of Use & Occupancy Extension Request to extend the expiration date of the Temporary Certificate of Use & Occupancy Certificate. Extension requests are reviewed by the Building Code Official and/or delegated staff for approval and may grant an extension up to 180 days.

To submit a request for extension, please complete the form below. Once your application has been received, you will be invoiced an extension fee and any adjusted inspection fees per the current fees and charge schedule for any outstanding inspections. This invoice must be paid prior to review of the extension request.

Please note:  A building or structure must maintain a valid Certificate of Use & Occupancy, either Temporary or Permanent, to be occupied. Failure to maintain a Certificate of Use & Occupancy may result in enforcement action and possible fines.
