Project Description:  The project includes the construction of a closed section urban double lane roundabout at the previous stop-controlled intersection of Middletown Road and (old) Billingsley Road.  Additionally, an approximate 800 LF extension of the existing 4-lane divided roadway will be constructed from the signalized intersection of Middletown Road and (new) Billingsley Road south to the roundabout. The primary purpose of this project was to improve traffic flow and vehicular safety at the intersection, thus helping to alleviate traffic backups during peak volume periods.
