Duration:
Approximately 8 weeks or until all requirements are met.
Key Concepts:
- Form relationships with the FRC Team and substance use treatment counselor.
- Begin treatment.
- Identify personal needs and goals.
Phase 1 Requirements:
- Attend the Family Recovery Court orientation, including substance use screening.
- Sign all agreements and consent forms.
- Complete a substance use assessment.
- Schedule a mental health evaluation and attend all recommended treatment and services.
- Develop an individualized case management plan, which may include:
- Group counseling as recommended by the treatment counselor.
- Individual counseling as recommended by the treatment counselor.
- Drug and alcohol testing (scheduled and random) at least twice per week.
- Explore self-help meetings, such as AA, NA, Celebrating Recovery, or Smart Recovery.
- Complete a family needs assessment.
- Comply with all recommendations of the substance use treatment plan.
- Refrain from alcohol and drug use.
- Attend FRC court hearings twice per month.
- Meet with the FRC Case Manager weekly and maintain regular communication.
- Initiate contact with the Recovery Coach and maintain regular contact (by phone and in person).
- Participate in FRC-sponsored pro-social activities and community service projects.
Phase 2 Advancement Requirements:
- No positive drug test results for 30 consecutive days (including behavioral positives).
- Regular attendance at court hearings (no unexcused absences for 30 days).
- No unexcused absences from substance use treatment or ancillary service appointments for at least 30 days.
- Attend prosocial activities (no unexcused absences for 30 days).
- Acknowledgement of having a substance use problem and demonstration of a commitment to live a lifestyle free of substance abuse.
- Complete all recovery assignments.
- Commitment to engage in substance use treatment.
- Recommendation of the FRC Team.
